tem connects UK businesses directly to renewable energy generators, removing wholesale market intermediaries. We are growing quickly and we are looking for people who can contribute from day one.
We are not running a graduate scheme. We are running a one-day assessment event and making offers to the candidates who impress us.
Apply, come to the day, get a role.
The process is straightforward. No lengthy back-and-forth, no months of waiting. You apply, you attend the day, you find out.
Drop your CV, LinkedIn, and a link to something you've built. Then complete a short timed written assessment on this page. Takes about 15 minutes and it's designed to be hard to fake. The best submissions get invited to the day. We triage with our own AI plus human review, so we can move quickly and fairly.
We invite around 15 shortlisted candidates to a full day event in London. You are paid for your time. If you are travelling from outside London, we will cover domestic travel costs up to £150. The day includes a guest speaker, a hands-on AI challenge, and a structured assessment. It is designed to be worthwhile regardless of the outcome.
We identify the strongest candidates across the day and invite them for a brief conversation before close. Offers are issued the following morning. You will indicate the role you are applying for, and if we believe another role would be a stronger fit, we will say so. Everyone receives a clear response.
A straightforward account of what the day involves. You will work on real problems using real tools. Here is how it is structured.
Arrive, get set up, and meet the team. We will walk through the structure of the day, confirm your access to the tools and answer any questions before we begin.
We've got someone coming in to talk about building in a hard industry. Not a corporate keynote. More like a 30-minute conversation you'll actually remember. This is part of the day regardless of what else happens.
You'll be given a brief and a set of tools. Your job is to find the problem worth solving, then show us how you'd solve it. We're not looking for a polished deck. We're looking for how you think when you're under a bit of pressure.
Proper food. Time to breathe, talk to people, and not think about the challenge for an hour.
You present back what you found and how you'd approach it. Short and sharp. This isn't a formal pitch. It's a conversation. We'll ask questions. Push back where it makes sense. See how you handle it.
We pull aside the people we want to keep talking to. Short. 15 to 20 minutes each. We tell you what we're thinking and give you the chance to ask us anything.
Everyone gets swag and payment sorted. If you travelled from outside London, we will reimburse domestic travel up to £150. Offers go out the following morning.
Apply and indicate which role interests you most. Growth roles at tem are genuinely hybrid, and if we think another role would be a stronger match we will let you know. Some of our best people came from unexpected backgrounds.
A developer who sits in marketing. Rare and valuable. You build the tools, automations, and experiments that the rest of the team can't. If you can write code and you're curious about how businesses grow, this one's for you.
You understand the product deeply, you know what the customer actually cares about, and you can translate between the two in a way that drives pipeline. This is a builder role, not a coordinator role.
You think in experiments. You're comfortable with numbers and equally comfortable writing copy that converts. You care about the whole funnel, not just the top of it.
You're obsessive about what happens after someone becomes a customer. Onboarding, retention, expansion. You use data to spot the moments that matter and you make sure we're showing up in them.
You're good with people and you want to be out in the world, not behind a screen all day. You help build tem's presence in the places that matter. Events, networks, the energy industry ecosystem. You're the face of the brand in rooms we can't always be in.
You sit at the intersection of writing, design, and production and you use AI to move faster than a traditional content team would think possible. You're not precious about the tools. You care about the output: content that builds trust, earns attention, and makes tem look like a company worth working for and buying from.
Fill this in, then scroll down to complete the written assessment. Both parts are required. The assessment is the more important of the two.
CV, LinkedIn, and a link to something you've built.
One question. Answer it honestly.
Then scroll down for the assessment.
We only ask for what we actually need. No cover letter. No lengthy forms.
If you build things, show us. A GitHub profile tells us a lot more than a CV.
Anything you're proud of. A Notion doc, a side project, a piece of writing. If it shows how you think, it counts.
We read these properly. Don't overthink it. Just answer honestly.
A few sentences is fine. We're not looking for a mission statement. We're looking for something real.
Once you submit this, scroll down to complete the written assessment. That's step two and it's required.
Six questions. Two minutes each. This is the part we weight most heavily. Complete it after submitting your application above.
The assessment takes about 15 minutes. Once you start, each question is timed and there's no going back. Make sure you're somewhere you can focus before you begin.
Six questions. Two minutes each. The timer starts the moment the question appears and there's no pause. Your answers lock automatically when time runs out.
Write like yourself. We're not looking for polished prose. We're looking for how you actually think. Incomplete sentences are fine. Changing your mind mid-answer is fine. Hollow, templated responses are not.
